Fortnighter

June 16, 2013

The Fortnighter.com founders came to me for an identity and site design which with to launch their start-up that would provide customers with bespoke trip itineraries from a network of seasoned travel writers.

Concept

  • With a brief to echo the simplicity and international style of classic airline travel in a way that would appeal to the Monocle crowd, the icon is a simple reference to the brandname initial with visual cues to both wings and waves.
  • Selling bespoke travel itineraries rested on the customer's willingness to complete a questionnaire, so the UX was designed to ensure a quick transition between steps
  • The launch generated much interest and press, with site designs featured in Mashable and Thrilist among others
